Damayanthi's Lamentations .
Damayanthi to Hamsa: "Immensely fascinated by hearing the virtues of the acclaimed king Nala, I am meditating arduously on his unknown form, Deep stricken by the sharp arrows projected from the Kama Devas sugarcane bow, heaving deep sighs, I have become wan and distraught, This anguish, waxing day by day, I haven't revealed even to my friends, Do not delay, dear swan, but go at once to the King Nala and tell him everything about my love for him, seeking an appropriate time for us to unite as one"
